Explorer Electric Wheelchair
The Explorer electric wheelchair runs on a 24 V 12 Ah lithium battery rated for 20 to 25 km on a single charge, so a long day out does not have to be planned around the battery. Twin 250 W brushless motors pull the chair along at up to 8 km/h, and it carries users up to 140 kg.
This power wheelchair is built for comfort over distance. Eight shock absorbers and 12-inch air-filled rear tyres soak up broken paving and driveway lips that would jolt a smaller chair. In addition, the magnesium-aluminium alloy frame keeps the whole thing rigid without turning it into dead weight.
A Folding Power Wheelchair That Goes the Distance
Folding is genuinely quick. One movement drops the Explorer electric wheelchair down to 64 x 42 x 80.5 cm, small enough for most car boots, and it weighs 24.9 kg without its battery.
Control and safety are straightforward. The 360-degree joystick steers precisely, and an electromagnetic brake holds the chair the moment you let go, which matters on a slope or a ramp.
